seriously though, Fatespeaker has been the spare for her entire existence.

she's a backup dragonet.
she's Starflight's replacement for Sunny.
she's Sunny remodeled.
do people really have to rub it in?

*sings more than just a spare from the frozen ost cut out songs*

for real, she's very different from Sunny in her own way. they have different stories and the dragons they were around were different.
if you didn't notice, Fatespeaker is a little bolder than Sunny. she stands up to Morrowseer a lot of the time and went to find Queen Battlewinner because she thought what Morrowseer was doing was wrong. remember when she woke Starflight up so they could explore? and I think she's a more independent thinker than Sunny, who relied heavily on the prophecy and figures of authority to make her way. Fatespeaker isn't as smart as Sunny though, who is action first, think later (when she left the cave on her own impulse despite Morrowseer's orders and when she went to find Battlewinner with Starflight) but Sunny takes a while to think things out, shown in TBN and when Starflight says that she's one of the smartest dragonets he knows. 

if you take a moment to think about it, they do have differences. enough to fill that paragraph.
